Large Cap Growth Equity

The Large Cap Growth Equity product was introduced in 1998. The portfolio is designed to achieve above average returns through investments in highly profitable, large-cap companies. In crafting Large Cap Growth portfolios, our managers employ quantitative screens to identify candidates and then apply qualitative judgment to choose those companies most likely to produce sustained earnings growth. The Swarthmore Group invests in companies that optimize invested capital and shareholder value by focusing on strong earnings growth, improving profit margins and industry leading Return on Equity. The Large Cap Growth portfolio will invest in a company whose market cap is greater than $5.0 billion, is an industry leader and has demonstrated an ability to excel in its field.

The firm’s sell criteria seek preservation of capital through a continual review of the portfolio holdings. A position will be sold if the fundamentals start to deteriorate or a superior stock is identified. As an additional risk control, a position will be trimmed if it exceeds 5% of the portfolio.
